My family dined at the King Crab Seafood Restaurant yesterday for Victoria Day. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the food. Generally, this style of restaurant is more popularly opened uptown, in Markham or Scarborough. However, now I can enjoy giant king crabs and lobsters in the middle of Chinatown as well. *smiles gleefully* And the price is very reasonable too, especially if you order the smaller combos. I’m looking forward to going back, albeit with a smaller budget =)

Vegetable in Soup Base and Poach Snow Pea Tips With Wolf Berry
Seafood Fried Rice with Vegetable and Authentic Sichuan Pickled Vegetable Fish
Out of everything here, my favourite dish is actually the Authentic Sichuan Pickled Vegetable Fish. It was due to this particular dish that I’d managed to stuff down more food than humanly possible (don’t be fooled by the pictures, each dish is hugeee).
Before coming to the restaurant, I made the stupid decision of chowing down loads of dumplings, slice of pizza and a potato. To say I was full is a huge understatement. Initially, I had planned on skipping the official dinner so I could go lie on the beach in the freezing weather and wait for the fireworks to begin at 10pm. Boy was I glad to be convinced otherwise. Half the Woodbine Beach was flooded and the sand was wet from yesterday’s rain. I don’t think I would’ve had a great time…. -.-
When we finally got to the restaurant, I still wasn’t feeling too hungry. Nonetheless, the scrumptious food on the table looked way too appetizing to pass on. I ate and I ate some more. Every time when I thought I couldn’t handle anymore, I drank some of the Pickled Vegetable Fish Soup, and my entire appetite was resurged. The sourness from the soup did wonders.
Just a side note: We ordered two seperate combo from the menu. The rice is an extra add-on and there is another seafood soup that I forgot to take a picture of that came with the combo.
